The Federal Government has directed all higher institutions to submit their admission lists for the 2024/2025 academic session  immediately after matriculation . This directive is aimed at  combating fake degree racketeering  in the country. According to a memo by the Joint Admissions and  Matriculation Board  (JAMB), institutions must submit their matriculation lists to the Federal Ministry of Education no later than three months  after matriculation ceremonies . The list must be submitted through JAMB’s dedicated channel. Failure to comply with this directive will  result in severe consequences , including sanctions. The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced an extension of the registration period for the 2024 GCE 2nd Series. This extension is a welcome development for interested candidates who could not meet the  initial registration deadline . The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, WASSCE, results. The exam body disclosed this in a Monday post on X. The post read, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”

Follow for more update The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is set to release the results of the May/June 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) today, Monday, 12th August 2024. According to The Sun, the  WAEC  acting Head of Public Affairs,  Mrs. Moyosola Adesina , said the Head of the National Office (HNO),  Dr. Amos Dangut , will announce the release of the May/June 2024 WASSCE results  The release of the results comes 45 days after the conduct of the last paper. Naija News  recalls Dangut had said in April 2024 that out of 1.8million students who sat for the exam, 902,328 (49.73 percent) are males and 912,016 females (50.27 percent). He said the candidates who sat for the examination were examined in 76 subjects, made up of 197 papers, while 30,000 secondary school teachers supervised the examination.
